Review the changes of the warehouse in recent years

Release date:2026-04-23

Looking back over the past few years, the warehouse, as the core hub of material circulation and a solid backing for operational support, has undergone continuous adjustments, upgrades and innovations. With the refinement of time, tremendous changes have taken place in hardware facilities, management models, operational efficiency and service quality. Every improvement records the footsteps of hard work; every upgrade fuels the momentum of progress. Today, let’s look back and review the transformation journey of the warehouse over the years.

1 Environment Upgrade

1.1 Floor Renovation

The original warehouse floor was maintained by frequent waxing to keep clean, yet the result was far from satisfactory. It would get dirty immediately after forklift passage. Labor input and maintenance costs remained high all year round, bringing heavy workloads and unnecessary expenses to warehouse staff.

After renovation and upgrading, the new floor was cured and polished on the original emery abrasive floor base, featuring compression resistance, wear resistance and high gloss. Daily maintenance has become extremely simple, only requiring routine cleaning with dust mops. It not only saves time and labor, but also delivers a far better cleaning effect than before.

1.2 Installation of Water-cooled Air Conditioners

In previous hot seasons, the warehouse was not equipped with any cooling equipment. The sweltering environment severely restricted work efficiency. After installing new cooling facilities, air outlets have been arranged in every aisle to ensure sufficient cold air circulation. The overall indoor temperature is effectively reduced, working comfort is greatly improved, and stable work efficiency is guaranteed for employees.

2 Layout Optimization

2.1 Readjustment of Shelf Layers on the First Floor

When the three-dimensional shelves were first put into use years ago, the spacing between layers was reduced and the number of layers was increased to adapt to the products with the highest turnover frequency at that time.

However, with the continuous adjustment of business operations, many fast-moving products with large shipment volumes now need to be stacked 7 to 8 layers high for delivery, which cannot be satisfied by the original storage locations on the first floor. Previously, goods had to be transported to the third floor for pallet stacking. After identifying massive handling waste in this process, we readjusted the shelf layers on the first floor, eliminating unnecessary handling and fully meeting current operational demands.

2.2 Layout Optimization of Packaging Material Area on the Second Floor

The original zoning of the packaging material area on the second floor only focused on maximizing space utilization, while ignoring logistics streamline planning. This resulted in narrow passageways and redundant handling during FIFO (First In, First Out) material issuance.

After layout reorganization, material zones are clearly divided with standardized signs and unobstructed logistics passages, greatly improving the efficiency of material receiving and issuing operations.

3 Management Mode Optimization

Open-style Management of Documents and Supplies

In response to the company’s requirements for eliminating management blind spots, closed storage cabinets have been phased out. All areas for storing documents and supplies adopt open and transparent management, completely eliminating hidden management loopholes.

In recent years, we have continuously promoted the improvement of warehouse environments, layout optimization and management upgrading. Regular sanitation cleaning and material sorting are implemented to ensure neat material placement, clean floors and unblocked passages. Clear identification labels and safety warning signs are posted throughout the warehouse.

These efforts have not only created a comfortable working environment for employees, but also improved the overall material circulation efficiency. Anyone entering the warehouse can intuitively experience the brand-new image and continuous improvement of the company’s warehouse management.
