My First Experience in the workplace

Do you still remember the excitement on the day you received the offer, as well as the nervousness and anticipation when you first stepped into the company? Time flies. As a newcomer to the workplace, I have already completed the initial transformation from a student to a professional. In the past six months, there have been moments of confusion and challenges, but more importantly, there have been gains and growth. Today, I'd like to talk to you all about my career

1 Role Transformation: Learning to Be a "Social Person"

Saying goodbye to the familiar campus and classrooms, the most significant change lies in the transformation of one's mindset. At school, the goal is clear and the path is well-defined. In the workplace, I still need to take the initiative to identify tasks, define problems and seek solutions. From waiting for assignments to be assigned to proactively reporting progress to my superiors and collaborating with colleagues, I have deeply realized the weight of the word "responsibility". Here, the assessment is no longer based on the scores on the test papers, but on the tangible work achievements and the value created for the company.


2. Experience the company's culture: seriousness, responsibility, and execution ability


2.1 Diligence represents an unwavering commitment to work standards, which is reflected in a meticulous and rigorous working attitude. It requires us to be down-to-earth, always spur ourselves on with high standards and strict requirements, be meticulous and strive for excellence, never be careless, and get things right the first time.

2.2 Responsibility is a spirit of taking on duties that runs deep in one's bones. We are required to have a clear understanding of the responsibilities that our work platform should undertake, possess good professional ethics, have a clear work stance, not shirk responsibility, be courageous in taking on responsibilities, and be able to entrust tasks with confidence.

2.3 Execution ability is the key bridge to transform strategic blueprints into practical achievements. Without execution ability, all grand strategies and excellent ideas will be castles in the air. We are required to strictly abide by and implement relevant policies and regulations, and ensure their execution. However, they also understand not to blindly implement. For unreasonable aspects and blind spots in the system, they can actively report to the department and the company.


Those shining "first times"

3.1 Complete the task for the first time

The first task I took on was to participate in the trial production of new products and complete the corresponding molding operation documents. Because I have no actual production experience in the forming process, I am faced with a large number of process parameters and the same actions of different machines

The different names made me feel anxious for a while. But fortunately, my colleague gave me clear guidance and told me, "It's better to do it yourself than to think it through." By operating different machines in practice, understand the correspondence between the actions and names of each piece of equipment. At the same time, consult colleagues about the influence of each process parameter on the product, and gradually master the methods of writing forming operation instructions and debugging processes. When samples that can be shipped and complete molding operation instructions are successfully produced, the sense of achievement is unprecedented. I have learned that doing more hands-on work is the most efficient way to learn.

3.2 The first time attending a project meeting

At first, I was just a quiet listener, listening to my colleagues discussing unfamiliar professional terms and project milestones. But I forced myself to record every point I didn't understand and figure it out one by one after the meeting. Gradually, I was able to understand the context of the meeting and even offer my own small suggestions. This process made me understand that integrating into a team starts with listening attentively.


3.3 The First "Minor Mistake"

I have also made a minor mistake due to carelessness. During the trial production of a new product, I failed to record the process parameters and quotas for the molding trial production, which led to the inability to complete the molding operation instruction on time. At that time, I was extremely frustrated and nervous. But my supervisor did not severely criticize me. Instead, he helped me correct my mistakes, proposed solutions and told me, "It's inevitable for new employees to make mistakes. The key is not to repeat the same mistakes." This experience taught me to be meticulous and made me feel more inclusive of the company.


3.4 The first self-inspection of management blind spots in the workplace

The first self-check was not carried out effectively due to an unclear understanding of its purpose and target. Under the general manager's criticism, I gradually came to understand the content and meaning of self-inspection.

Self-inspection in the workplace is a fundamental and crucial daily task in production management. Its core lies in proactively identifying problems, finding management blind spots, and making improvements, ultimately ensuring production quality and efficiency. The inspection of management blind spots is not about looking at the surface of the workplace, but about delving into the interior to expose them, thereby completely eliminating blind spots.


The continuous implementation of self-inspections for blind spots in workplace management has gradually enabled me to develop a serious and responsible work attitude and the habit of abiding by rules, thus integrating into a good corporate culture atmosphere. A clean and orderly factory can also win the trust of customers and partners and enhance the corporate image.


What have I gained in the past six months?

In addition to being proficient in using various office software, my greatest gain is the improvement of my comprehensive abilities. I have learned how to communicate more efficiently, how to manage the time for multiple tasks, and how to stay calm under pressure. More importantly, I have felt the open, inclusive and mutually supportive cultural atmosphere of Zhengcun. Here, every senior is willing to share and every idea deserves respect. This fills me with confidence about my future career path.

Looking back on the past six months of work experience, the initial experience in the workplace has been a mixture of emotions, but the underlying color must be warm and positive. I am grateful to the company for providing the platform and to all the leaders and colleagues who have offered me help. The road ahead is long and full of obstacles, but if we keep moving forward, we will eventually reach our destination. With this precious first experience, I will continue to strive and grow together with Zhengcun!
